CREST Cancer Support

Jim
My name is Jim and I have worked alongside CREST Cancer Support since its inception. I am an Insurance Consultant and previously have been in Banking. I have worked alongside Judith and Joan and the team for many years and when asked if I would like to join the team as a trustee I jumped at the chance. I have been a trustee for a couple of charities and hope to bring my varied and in-depth experience as a trustee to CREST Cancer Support. I look forward to working with the team and meeting the membership at events.

Hello my name is Joan and I helped set up CREST in 2004 and have enjoyed being a volunteer for the charity since then. During 2018 CREST had a major structural change – this has not affected the way CREST works, but has given it more security. During this change I was asked if I would take on the role as one of the trustees by the membership. I was delighted to be asked and accepted immediately. You will find me on the other end of the phone in the office where I am always happy to talk to anyone who needs our help or just to have a chat about things. I am looking forward to serving as a trustee as well as continuing as a volunteer for CREST Cancer Support.

Hello I am Judith and I am the Treasurer and fellow trustee of CREST Cancer Support CIO. Like many of us, my family and friends have been affected by cancer. I am delighted to be able to have a positive role in cancer support.

I was introduced to CREST by a friend and benefited from attending a few Relaxation Days as a patient. On retiring in 2015 I thought I would like to use some of my free time and become a volunteer for CREST and have greatly enjoyed working with the team. I help to organise the social events.

Hello, my name is Keith. I have been involved with CREST for about 15 years as a volunteer Reiki therapist. My first contact with CREST was offering members Reiki at the relaxation events. I was impressed with the care and dedication of all those that made those days a success and fun for all those that attended. I wish to support CREST in my new role and continue with the very important part it plays in supporting the community.

I joined CREST in 2010 as a cancer patient and after attending a Relaxation Day decided I would like to volunteer. I keep the database up to date with new members.

After 22 years working in education, I retired and was looking for a volunteer role. Over the years I have done fundraising for various cancer charities as my family has been affected by cancer. So I am very pleased to have an office role at Crest and look forward to working with them.
