Our visit to Loseley House on 20th June

Despite challenging weather our visit to this beautiful house and garden was a great success. Friendly and accommodating staff kept us all dry with a large group tour of the sixteenth century house in the morning. It is full of beautiful antiquities. We saw the bedroom in which Queen Elizabeth stayed on one of her many visits to Loseley and learned of the dedication of the More–Molyneux family to preserving the estate.

Mr Michael More-Molyneux, the current owner and new Patron of our charity, came to welcome us at lunchtime and speak of his interest in and support for CREST.

The sun came out for the afternoon garden tour with head gardener, Bernie, who impressed us with his great knowledge and passion for plants. The 2.5 acres are divided into rooms and themes of planting, and include over 1000 rose bushes.
