Debbie, Linda and Jo raise a fantastic £662
walking for CREST!

On Sunday May 9th, Debbie, Linda and Jo donned their walking shoes and set off on a 10km walk to raise money for CREST. Although it was overcast, the weather was kind to them and it didn't rain until they'd crossed the finishing line.

The sponsored walk along "The Waterways of Shepperton" was organised by the Rotary Club of Shepperton who took good care of their walkers, providing them with baseball caps in case the sun shone and even arranging a "comfort break" at the Kingfisher pub on Chertsey bridge!

And at last the waiting's over ... they're under starter's orders ... and they're off!

It took them just on 2½ hours to complete the walk and the time just flew by. They all really enjoyed it and saw places they didn't even know existed!
Would they do it again? "Definitely!"

We are amazed at how much money they raised - they said that it wasn't hard to get sponsorship from family, friends and people at work - and people were very generous.

Linda, Jo and Debbie presented the cheque to Joan on Monday. She was delighted to accept on behalf of all the CREST members who will benefit.
